Tibetan women celebrating Women's day on Mar. 7, 08 (from www.news.cn)

In "Greater Tibet", 6 million Tibetans share a home with 7.5 million people from 17 other ethnic groups.
They've lived in peace ever since the 18th centry.
People get married across ethnic groups.

Tibetan government in exile is demanding
The eviction of all 7.5 million non-Tibetan people.
So that they can establish their religious kingdom..

Before you decide to support them, think about...
Do you want to see people lose their homes?
Do you want to face those children whose parents get separated into different countries?

(The numbers and materials come from the articles/documents by the 14th Dalai Lama)

Tibetan Red Guard Is Back?
During the Culture Revolution (1966~1976), Tibetan red guards were responsible for the destruction of many Buddhism and Muslim temples in Tibet. A whole new generation of radical Tibetan youth, especially the ex-slaves and ex-serfs, emerged in the storm of Culture Revolution. They declared a war on those who tolerated serf-owners and top lamas--like the Dalai Lama and Panchen Lama. The military and police force failed to maintain orders for years. General Guo-hua Zhang, the commander in chief of Chinese military force in Tibet, was even driven out of Lhasa.

History sees a deja vu. In the year of 2008, a group of radical Tibetan youth growing up in or after the Culture Revolution declared a war on ethnic Han and Musilim. The military and police force failed to maintain orders for days, resulting in 18 death. Want to learn more about the history of Tibetan red guard? Full article after the link. How Did Chinese Authority "Sinocize" Tibet?
Tibetans in exile has claimed a fierce suppression, sinocization, and genocide by the Chinese authority. M.A.Jones, a high school teacher, has an independent opinion -- that it has been greatly exaggerated. Compared to the pre-1950 era before the communist party entered Tibet, today's population of ethnic Tibetans went up 5 times. Tibetan families in Tibet average 3.8 children, much higher than the Han families and higher than the Tibetans in exile in India. The average lifespan is now 68 due to the improving standard of living and access to medical services, compared to 35 in 1950. Also "Infant mortality has dropped from 43% in 1950 to 0.661% in 2000". Start With Really Ancient Tibet and Han History
T.T.Moh - Professor at Purdue University and a member of Tibet Study Association - visited Tibet in 1988. In his article, he introduces Tibet history from as early as 1400BC. His article gives us a non-partial picture of Tibet: A harmony and friendship between Tibetan and Han was a tradition. But now the Tibetan part of China and the Han part of China is linked by mostly material connections, which is necessary for the Tibetans to maintain their way of life. Clike to see more details.
